Oh yesss!! I'm in cloud nine!!

Li Na created history, being the first Chinese singles in Grand Slam! Yeah, you heard me right, she made it to the finals. And what's more? She defeated the world no. 1 Wozniacki 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in semi-finals.

She will face Clijsters in the finals! I know Clijsters is in top form now. But miracles do happen. I want Li Na to win.

In men's singles, sadly Nadal was ousted by Ferrer. But never mind, as long as Federer too won't be in the finals. Both of them have to wait a little bit longer to create another slam history hehehe

Who will join Djokovic in the finals? Murray or Ferrer? Hopefully it's Ferrer ;)

Roddick crashed in round four :( Poor him. I don't know what will happen to him next.

But Li Na cruised to semis. Fantastic! I hope she can get through.

Who else?
Federer, Djokovic and Wozniacki also through to semis. But am not a fan, sorry! I'm hoping Clijsters and Nadal will join the rest to semis.

What else?
Oh yess...the American Idol Season 10 is here! Will blog this in a separate post.

Happy New Year 2011!

opppss...am I late?

well, as the old saying says, 'better late than never' ;)

I'm back to update my blog
coz Australian Open is here and it begins today
and the good news is
Andy Roddick & Venus Williams cruised to the next round

please! let Roddick win this time
it's very frustrating to see him reached semifinals four times in Australian Open
and yet never advanced to the final

I hope 2011 is a good year for Andy Roddick
he is already 28 years old
and I'm sure he will retire soon
but hopefully before he hangs his rackets
he will win grand-slams
Australian or Wimbledon, fingers-crossed!

The Williams sisters won the Women's Double in Melbourne

Too bad Jie Zheng and Li Na lost in semis. I really was hoping one of them cruised to the finals. Well, never mind. It's up to Serena Williams now. Hope she can defend her title in Melbourne.

Serena vs Justine today!

Andy Murray vs Roger Federer tomorrow

I'm gonna pick Serena and Andy to win ;)
Latest updates:

Rafa
beats
Roger Federer
7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2

to claim
The Australian Open Championship

congrats to you RAFA!

meanwhile

RF was in tears. He said he was too emotional. Maybe he was so disappointed he didn't make history! Rafa comforted him by saying, he still has chances to claim his 14th grand slams and wishes him good luck. That should be the way, Melbourne is not the end. There is still French, Wimbledon and USA open.

There are three Russians and one American in Women's single.

But I love Dementieva too

Let's just watch the game. It would be an exciting semi-finals!

Thanks to Novak Djokovic who retired during the fourth set
he gave Roddick a free ticket to the semis ;)
Djokovic was trailing 7-6, 4-6, 2-6, 1-2 before he retires

My picked for Philly's audition

the weirdest contestant so far

The American Idol season 7 premiered last night. It was a two hours audition done in Philadelphia. I had picked one or two contestants who has the potential. But even so, I'll wait for the other auditions. They had given 29 tickets to Hollywood on this audition. Can't wait for the next one!

I didn't concentrate watching the American Idol coz Andy Roddick was playing against Michael Berrer of Germany on the other channel of the Australian Open 2008. Of course I stayed on this channel and watched Roddick's game. He won 6-2, 6-2, 6-4. And he is the leader of serve speed on day 2 when he served a 235km/h. He will meet another German player, Philipp Kohlschreiber (29) in third round.

In Women's singles, Henin, Sharapova, Serena, Amelie, Sugiyama to name a few cruise to the third round.
