America has voted. And it's Jordin Sparks! They chose her to be their new American Idol. The youngest Idol ever. She is just 17. Where was I when I was 17? Battling with my SPM hehehe. At the tender age of 17, Jordin sudah popular dan kaya raya. Bertuah punya budak :)
Ryan announced last night, that this year's finale, they received 74 million of votes. Wow! A record breaking. Bertambah kaya si Simon Fuller. American Idol makin lama makin meningkat, kalo AF makin lama makin menurun. Why? you answer! hahaha
It was a two hour grand finale last night. Frankly speaking, I was bored. The only performance attract me was the choir by the African American Children. They were cute! Other than that, who else performed? Previous winners of Idol kecuali si Fantasia. Present Idols. Gwen Stefani (via satellite - dia sedang buat konsert di Massachusetts), Gladys Knight, Tony Bennet (diberi peluang sebab dulu dia sakit), Green Day (saya tertidur masa diorang nyanyi) and Bette Midler (saya sambung tidur hehehe).
Besides that, they also give out Golden Idol Awards. Patutpun orang-orang Amerika sanggup berbaris pi audition walaupun tidak pandai nyanyi. They aimed to win the awards. The Best Buddies lah, most original voice lah bla bla bla. Dapat peluang bagi speech lagi. Fuyoo tidak sia-sia pi audition dan diketawakan oleh jutaan penonton.
Result was announced 10 minutes before the show ended - punyalah penat saya tunggu! Sudahlah saya belum mandi, sampai tertidur-tidur lagi. Pulak tu, saya kecewa sebab Blake ndak menang. Ada pula desas desus mengatakan 'American Idol is fixed'. Sama saja halnya dengan AF kita di Malaysia. Bah, biarlah tu. Jordin is still the winner. Kita tengok siapa yang meletup penjualan album selepas ini. The show ditutup dengan persembahan Jordin with her new song "This is My Now".
American Idol pun melabuhkan tirainya. Ryan bilang "see you in January next year!" Sekurang-kurangnya, American Idol confirm tahun depan masih ada. Berbeza dengan nasib AF. Tapi Januari tu adoii lama lagi mo tunggu. Nasib baik saja ada Supernatural 2 dan Lost 3. Harap-harap The Amazing Race Asia 2 pun ada this year.
