Will her eponymous song, “Aku Stacy” (I am Stacy) bring her luck tomorrow to win the spot in the sixth season of the reality talent show Akademi Fantasia?

Stacy AF6 or Stracie Angie Anam will also be belting out the hit by Rossa entitled “Atas Nama Cinta” (In the Name of Love).

Many fans of the show predict that the young lass from Penampang will be named winner based on her consistent performance from the first week right up until the airing last Saturday.

Each year since the second season, there have been at least two or three participants from Sabah who have managed to reach the finals but never once winning the top spot.

They were Adam AF2, Linda AF2, Mas AF2, Felix AF3, Yazer AF3, Marsha AF3, Ekin AF3, Lotter AF4, Velvet AF4, Rich AF4, Nora AF4, Noni AF5, Ebi AF5 and Candy AF5.

This year, Stacy was the only candidate selected from this state and Sabahans are hopeful she will break the “jinx” to finally become champion.

Nevertheless, whether or not she wins will depend on the SMS votes she garners tomorrow night.

Deputy president of the Stacy Fan Club, Noraini Idris urged everyone to support the petite singer with the powerful vocals.

“Stacy deserves to win because her performance has been very consistent,” she told New Sabah Times here yesterday.

The fan club led by president Adelade Cornelius was officially launched by Assistant Minister of Resource Development and IT Donald Mojuntin recently.

Noraini is confident that Stacy will be named winner as even the AF blogsite has been inundated with comments predicting her to be “the one”.

“Even journalists in the peninsula are saying that Stacy will be champion this year. I really hope fans will give their full support to her,” she said.

Stacy’s parents, Anam and Agnes as well as her siblings who were with Noraini thanked those who have been sending SMS votes for her and to the fan club for tirelessly promoting her.
